It has a complete Suntour XC 9000 groupset except for the Shimano FC-B124 crank with Bio Pace chainrings. But what fascinates me most about the bike are the Suntour Rollercams in the front and the back. I've never had a bike with brakes like this and I've also never ridden one before that...

Love this color sheme and a singlespeed Kuwahara is also always nice to see. Thanks a lot! It still needs some deep cleaning and regreasing, a service of the bottom bracket (wich makes a klonking noise with each return) and some new grips.

A few days ago, I received a message from my smartphone that a Kuwahara Lion was for sale. When I opened the offer, I couldn't resist. An original 1988 Kuwahara Lion complete with Suntour XC 9000 and Rollercams. A bit scratched and dirty but super cheap. So far I've just wiped it down a bit...

Was a birthday present from a friend who makes them from old eggbeaters.

Almost, it's a 3 speed with drums. I would say the brakes are as good as some standart Cantis but feel a little softer. Something like a rear Canti on a frame that is a little flexi and has no brake booster. I could adjust the cables a little tighter but I like it and I can get the rear wheel...
