Hi Guys, long time no speak! I fished my old Manitou FS out of my Dads garage the other day and it's in a right state! I took some bad advice a few years back and stripped the anodising off to try and polish it up but it looks terrine now. Does anyone know where I can can get it stripped down...

Manitou FS Well it's in a sorry state now so there's no turning back. But on the bright side, it will look spectacular when(if) I eventually finish it

Girls bike Im not sure yet but I remember seeing something like a Kona someone had built for their other half and sprayed a pastel colour. I was hoping it might reappear in this thread. I want something around 95-97 so the parts are easier to source.

Manitou FS This is turning in to a big job! I only needed a seat to finish it off, but thought it could do with a buff up. Ill get some drain cleaner tomorrow and give it a go. I dont think the oven cleaner touched it :?

Manitou FS Ok I have started to rub it down with 400 but it is taking a very long time to get through the top layer so I assume it is annodised. Any suggestions on the best way to tackle this?

I know this has been covered before, but I'm wondering the best way to polish up my FS. Is it annodised or Laquered? There is no flaking or cracking, just fine scratches. I started to polish a bit under the top tube but it seemed to take ages to polish to a mirror finish. Is it gonna be a job...

Afan Ill come along. I train there a lot and my old team mate Steve lives there and knows it like the back of his hand so Ill ask him to come along as well. I will be riding modern just because the terrain is so hard on the bikes. I only way 10st and have broken a few spokes there. Also...

RC-35's Can the steerer be change to a 1" threaded?

Cheers mate. Got the Manitou nearly finished now. Spinergy Rev X's came in the post yesterday and really set it off. Just need an Atac ahead stem, a flite classic and it's a goodn. Then onto the next project, my DOGS BOLX!

Does anyone know what the seat post dia is for a Chas Roberts DOGS BOLX? I want a Syncros one in tip top condition if anyone has one that fits
