As per title, to fit 1 1/8 threadless headset, in VGC in black if possible please.

I'm after a front quick release skewer in decent condition for a Suntour XC Pro hub please.

Thanks. I will consider this if the outcome of my other options doesn't happen - those being: 1. Find a new (old) one 2. Salvage mine, if good enough. You're right, the process seems straight forward enough but I don't really want to find the materials, logos (I'm crap with the computer) etc...

Oh dear, what have I started! Firstly, thanks for your replies. Other than a few teeaks, I do indeed want to keep the build original, hence wanting to retain the chainstay protector. This, however, means either polishing around it, removing and re-applying it, or getting another identical one...

I'm currently prepping a frame and am considering removing the chainstay protector to allow for easier polishing. Is this a straightforward enough task (heatgun/ fishing line to remove?) and importantly, in people's own experience, can they be re-used if they're in a decent condition to start...

In trying to establish the correct bottom bracket axle length size do you need to account for the sizing of the seat tube to keep the shifting distance correct? For example, from what I've read, Suntour's MD XC Pro/ Comp crankset needs a 115mm Axle for its BB. But then do you need to account...

You mention Sachs/Sedis chains. Do you know which particular chain from these brands is recommended for 7 speed Microdrive? Alternatively, is there a readily available modern equivalent that is recommended?

Thanks. I was questioning myself because around this time Suntour made both XC Pro and XC Pro Microdrive derailleurs and I wasn't sure whether there was anything that might hinder correct operation. Then I thought maybe the shifters had slightly different indexing. I'm having the wheels...
