    For Sale 1994 Ritchey P-23 size 20"

Up for sale is my 20" '94 Ritchey P-23 (frame Number:P-651). Here's a link to my original build thread: https://www.retrobike.co.uk/threads/ritchey-p-23.381339/ I will attach pictures with the way the build looks now. The only main differences are: 1. I swapped the Hugi casette for a NOS XTR...

Killer vintage and rare parts going on the bay

Those silver Ringle hubs... very very tasty! What's the hole count? Definitely interested in those. Are you doing ebay only?

Nothin’ new in t’ world - linkage forks...

Great thread! Here's my addition: Kestrel Monolith show-bike, and a Monolith frame with Rebound fork (no connection with the Kestrel aside from the naming coincidence)

    Restoring blackness to metal parts

Ah, so you did polish those afterwards. I'll ask my buddy if I can do the same... I do like a more polished look on black parts.

    Restoring blackness to metal parts

+1 on Cerakote. A friend of mine who does this mainly for guns did a batch of black parts for me. Turned out ace (cost me like 50$) and is very durable. Even Thomson have a Cerakote line for their seat-posts and stems as a factory finish. One thing to bear in mind: Cerakote can't really do a...

Wanted Machine Tech Zero Flex V levers

I do have a full set of Machine tech V-brake Zeroflex levers and brakes that I would be willing to part with... however I am situated in the US.

Help please: Anyone know how to service TNT hub bearings?

But punching the old bearings out is exactly what you need to do. Punch them out, measure them, buy new bearings, press the new bearings in (maybe the threaded rod + big washer method should work fairly well). and you're done. Not really that much to it. What I usually also do to mine to make...

    1992 Ibis Mojo

I just weighed my 17" frame. It's 2160 grams. Not exactly light compared to some light steel frames in the 1700 grams range.

Syncros aluminum craks stress transfer device wanted

Let me check in my toolbox. I might have an extra one about. As far as the CAD file goes... I need to dig around on my old hard drive. i have it somewhere.

    1992 Ibis Mojo

The frame itself is not exactly light (compared to a Ritchey for example) but the bike should turn out reasonably light.

    1992 Ibis Mojo

That is really cool! I have one just like this waiting to be built (it's the yellow-orange paint version) but otherwise just the same. No handjob either. I plan on making this an all-steel build. Sweet wings cranks, sweet parts stem, true temper bars, Zoom steel seatpost, 1st gen AMP fork (steel...

    Look Fournales

That is quite a bit of money without the steering tube assembly which renders the fork useless and any old 1 1/8" steering tube won't do. Love those forks but that price is a hard nope... If it were cheaper and the seller would post to the US I might take a punt and see if I can use some spare...

A couple of pieces I've made during the pandemic

Can't believe I haven't seen this earlier... really cool stuff! Always loved those kind of things. Next... do a 15th Century German Kriegsmesser ;) (for some odd reason I really got into renaissance era bladed weapons... and I want one of those for myself really badly... as if bikes weren't...

What retro frame & suspension fork for hard xc riding/racing?

As far as frames go... Schwinn Homegrown Factory (some of the best ally hardtails out there and not too exotic or crazy expensive). I would also recommend maybe some vintage carbon? Trek 9700 or Giant MCM are really light and offer good comfort plus they're not highly collectible so you can pick...

1 inch threaded head-set doesn't screw on the fork

Bingo! what Boy Burning said. It does fit after all, after some deep cleaning of the threads and some de-burring on the back where the keyed washer groove was (that beginning part was causing the trouble) the headset does thread on fine. I was indeed comparing it to some cheapo Shimano and...
