It's got crackle drip paint you gotta save it, you don't seem many of those late 80's early 90's jobs around now...I've used the hacksaw method before and its fairly easy just slowly slowly catch a monkey, will caustic damage the paint?

can you salvage the frame though? a new post 26.4mm iirc? should be easily available.

if I remember correctly the original seatposts on these are alloy shafted with a steel head and yes they can snap!

Does anyone know how involved it is to replace the threaded driver on early Sturmey type hubs.........I have a K32( 1932) that the sprocket is junk, given that they are difficult and expensive-ish to source can I install a 3 spline 'standard' driver from a later 3 speed? I seem to recall...

Bought off Hilary a few times and all items were ok and as advertised, yes he can be abrupt and slow to answer emails etc, that said he is VERY knowledgable about the subject of all things cycle shaped. I have heard several reports of items/ bicycles being bought off VCC members very cheaply...
