Many thanks and I am really pleased to see that the key messages of craftsmanship and the support I have received are coming across in the thread. I’ve been blown away by the kindness shown as well as by the levels of craftsmanship by all...
Re: Richard Thackray Team Pace - Restoration Thread
Bit of a landmark moment in the restoration as the last few parts go out. From this point there will only be returning items hopefully leading me to be in a position to commence rebuilding in the very near future
Re: Re:
Im really approaching the final hurdle now Rich. There is the stem and seatpost in the hands of Dan Chambers. Gil is kindly going to both rebuild the wheels and look to produce the frame decals that will then see Richards former F1 ready to be re-assembled
Exciting times and getting...

The Forks:

Re: My dream bike/spec from when I was 15 - 1994 Pace RC200 F3
fantastic a real labour of love and it is great to see you finally have the bike you dreamed off
seatpost is 27mm Luke and please don't be tempted to fit a shimmed post as there have been cases of causing damage to welds. Period specific would be Suntour or Campagnolo which I have in mine
Keep up the good work

Hello Mate,
Long time no see and I hope you are keeping well. Many thanks for the offer but I am really looking to go really thin. I’ve got a set of 1.50’s on one of my bikes and I’m loving them
Re: Richard Thackray Team Pace - Restoration Thread
This was delivered today, I’ll inbox on Saturday and take pics. A monumental point in the restoration
I now only need to send the fork crown to Tim for him to finish building the forks. Then it’s a case of having the wheels rebuilt and...
Stunning to the eye and I have really enjoyed reading the comments. Something so very different to what I’m used to and like many others who have commented I’m intrigued in relation to how it rides
Re: Richard Thackray Team Pace - Restoration Thread
I got my dates wrong and the F1 frame is due to arrive back from Dan tomorrow. It’s not all bad news and Christmas still came early today as this arrived. I can feel a mega double unboxing coming up
