1990 Marin Team Titanium - updated 5th June page 3

I'm in the process or reorganising the storage, and it'll put all my bikes in prime position for viewing and tinkering with. I'll get some decent pics together when they come out from where they're hidden now, but in the meantime...

    1991 Marin Team Titanium

I can't quite believe that I've left those bits at the painter's workshop all this time. During the long pause in the build I busied myself with some interesting road bikes, and some new MTB stuff. However, this should be my focus as most of its just sat there waiting in a big box. I discovered...

    1998 Marin DH FRS

I can't remember the weight now, but it was very light. I ran this as my main MTB for over 2 years, and went everywhere with me. Gradually though, I yearned for more. I bought another frame and then toyed with the idea of 140mm forks and 27.5 wheels. I even tried it (Pace rc41 forks, and the...

34.9mm Clamp if it’s the earlier model. The last year used a narrower seat post. It must be a bottom pull, top swing.

Marin B17 98, refurb, and Ebike conversion.

Weirdly intriguing, and quite refreshing to read. A black frame would hide the cables better, and maybe a large Velcro neoprene sleeve for the battery. Let’s see some action shots.

    Marin Team Titanium - Authentic?

Interesting frame. They are indeed factory decals, and they're very hard to reproduce from this era as they're water-decals rather than vinyl. As such they have a difference appearance. The Team Marin was a very lightweight custom quad butted steel frame in 1999 (which were painted pearl...

    LOOK 753 replica

An interesting little project you completed. I like the collection too. Any more details on the LeMond bikes?

    Dynatech 700 loose 'bit'?

I'd remove the bolt and then put it back with threadloc on. There shouldn't be any movement at this joint as it should be bolted snug against the seat tube clamp lug. The threadloc will help it stay there this time.

**SOLD** LOOK KG86 (with Dura Ace 7400)

Re: LOOK KG86 (with Dura Ace 7400) That's lovely. I'm so glad it's too big for me, as I don't know how I'd resist.

    Pantographing - who does it?

Thanks for the response so far. I'll get digging on what's been suggested up to this point...

    Pantographing - who does it?

I've been loosely interested in having a few choice parts Pantographed lately. I've seen that somebody had some relatively modern Campagnolo cranks done with the Campagnolo shield which I thought looked great (but I can't remember where I saw it on here, or who it was). As my Delta brakes are...

`86 Look TVT La Vie Claire build

Lovely wheels, but they aren't C Record hubs in the pics. They look like old super record. I'm still looking for a set of C Record hubs in 28H for my rims; incredibly hard to find when you want the early 90's cassette version.

    Colnago Master project

I gave up on the UK market as most were not in great condition. Try looking on eBay and broaden your search to include Europe as there's loads in Italy.

I'd like the Campagnolo seatpin bolt please.

    Colnago Master project

A new project that's been bubbling in the background has just started to become a bit more real. This has just been delivered... It took me about 20 minutes to unwrap it as it had been so well protected for its journey here. It's not been as easy to find as I would have imagined. My brief...

Great Dun fell road ride April 14th REVISED ROUTE

It's all fallen through - I'm out. Clive, you really need to host a couple of these a year. Sad that I can't make this one, but wishing everyone a great time who can.

Great Dun fell road ride April 14th REVISED ROUTE

Cheers for the offers, but I committed myself to the latest project, which is the Dyna Tech. I've got a handful of cassettes that I could use for the day, and one of them goes as low as 28 I'm sure.

Great Dun fell road ride April 14th REVISED ROUTE

Just been reading about Dun Fell - it’s particularly un-retro friendly from a gearing perspective. It’s 15% to 20% at the latter half. 39/23 is as low as I go! I’m going to look silly.
