    Rios can suffer with immobiliser faults IIRC, ( @legrandefromage will confirm or deny) so if you go see it, give it a few ignition cycles at random to make sure it's reading the key properly

    The 2000s jazz 5 speed manuals suffer with gearbox failure but can be reconditioned for a few hundred pound, not sure on the later models

    I had an aluminium Barracuda where the head tube split for no apparent reason a child had a tim gould race replica (in name at least) peugeot where the seat stays parted company with the seat tube

    If it's just the cassette that's damaged then they can be replaced, no need to replaced derailleur, or wheel if there still servicable but will advise new chain
