Very nice bike! Quite rare! Hopefully it can be repaired. The only ones I have seen have been cracked too...I'm curious how many of them survived. Other than the clear coat on this frame, are there any other defining features on the Nimbus frame compared to the Stratos from 1991?

I would say it's more likely a Rocky Mountain stem. It looks very similar to mine...same noodle and same 2 bolt design up front.

It's coming along :) I'm almost done the paint touch ups...just a bit more. I'm not convinced the RS1 is the right fork for the bike, so I think I'll put a rigid Tange fork on for now. I have a Mag 20 with gold lowers that looks better than the RS1 but I need a 1" steerer tube for it.

Here's one for aguycalled80...is this the same colour as your old Avalanche? It's the 1st one I've seen in orange and purple. It had 7sp deore parts on it, so I'm thinking it's an 89.
