Maiden outdoor voyage today ... The bike has been my turbo bike over the winter so done a few hundred miles but none outdoor! Quick blast with my wife around Delamere today and loved it albeit a tad different to my ride on my modern hardtail yesterday!!! Not put the new decals on yet so those...

New tyres now fitted and got some better shots outside. Desperately need to swap the grips so I'll get that done this week. New decals for frame and fork should be here any day now as well.

I just got order confirmation... Think I ordered Monday and they arrived Wednesday from memory but got nothing about dispatch.

My No.1 steed so very upset. It's a beast.

So the bike is now fully functional and ready for action if we get a dry day 🙃 Need to swap the grips but it'll do while on the turbo trainer!! New tyres arrived today too. Hopefully I can get it out (weather dependent) and get some better shots soon... particularly after the new decals...

Are the guards SKS Velo?

Mines a combination of riding in the equivalent of grinding paste plus the fact that two weeknights every week soon takes its toll. I only clean the chain after a weeknight ride because it's around 9pm when I get back so not really possible to clean it properly. Then just take the other bikes...

I got fed up of trashing my decent hardtails over winter so bought a winter specific ride for relatively (imo) little outlay. Don't mind destroying it and very little to go wrong! On one Bootzipper ordered last Oct and arrived in less than a fortnight! Does me great for winter night riding...

Been mega busy and not touched this for weeks!! Just spent a couple of hours and fitted a few bits. Starting to look like a bike now!!! New cassette and chain Fitted the original cranks plus some original DMRs I had on the shelf XT shifter/levers (ignore the grips!) XT Vbrakes...

I would say a busy weekend ahead with this parts haul but haven't any spare time!!!

Yeah I was the only one in the gang with one and think they've held up well! I hadn't even considered that... Do they take it well? The paint isn't the best and the decals are in a right mess so wasn't contemplating a full repaint after it's been used a bit.

Just fitted a new Cane creek headset and a brand new Bottom Bracket to the Hammer. The existing bb was actually ok bearings wise but the threads looked a bit ropey so figured I best just bang a new one in. All threads cleaned up first. I've decided to put most of the factory items away and...
