    Paul Components Rear Mech

Surprisingly well used for an expensive derailleur that isn't very good🤣 Best left in the box.

Wanted Cheap bolt through non boost front hub.

If it's disc but 1&1/8, there's quite a few 29 Forks will be the right loa, and some 26s have clearance for 27.5 x 2.1 or so.

Middleburn Crank not fitting onto Bottom bracket

Vintage parts like these are taken off a bike back then because they're worn out. They've sat in a box for 20 years, then get sold on, for the new owner to discover why they came off in the first place🙄

Less Common Shops that sell Bicycle parts

I'd only use a rema tiptop repair kit - probably the most expensive, but I'm only going to have to fix it once. You can buy strips of rema patches too if your solution is still good.

Middleburn Crank not fitting onto Bottom bracket

Longer bb axles don't mean both sides are increased in length. A lot of shimano bb axles the next step up is longer on one side only. Who knows why? Certainly looks like this chainset has been overtightened. Let's hope the axle doesn't reach the end of the taper next time it's done up. I'd...

Wanted Want to buy titanium road frame or set

A lotof people want stuff for half what it's worth. As a result, it sells quick - so you'd have to persevere and get lucky. Cheap (like low quality) ti frames are much more common in the mtb world. It's usually worth spending the right money to get something good. If you want to go in at a...

Middleburn Crank not fitting onto Bottom bracket

Iirc you can grip the washer in a vice, then turn the axle with spanner and the washer comes off. I wondered at the time what they were there for - probably just to introduce incompatibility with non- shimano or aftermarket chainsets.

Colnago ...Here we go again 70th anniversary and in steel. 70 made.

In what way is a 3d printed lug better than a cnc'd, or particularly a cast or forged item? Fashion buzzword. That's the way.

Colnago ...Here we go again 70th anniversary and in steel. 70 made.

Funny how internal cable/hose/wiring routing, through axles and internal seatpost binder, tapered fork steerer, t47 bb - all things that became necessary on carbon frames, have been carried backwards, making the frame material a statement only. 🤣

Sorted Any one have a set of long drop shimano calipers?

We keep br-r451s in, it's a great brake.

    What frame is this?

Lucky its not yours cos the front end is stove in🙄 I would think that this date coyote, ambrosia, barracuda and many others all came from the same production line.

Film and TV stars and their bikes!

Elvis fell off and broke his tooth. Massive panic from all the minders, I think after that film stars' behaviour got more heavily managed. I'm amazed at the basic quality of most of these pieces. And some you can tell can ride a bike and some barely know how. Often those with a super low saddle🤣

    Just bought this🙄

The stem will be well swollen in the steerer and likely impossible to remove mechanically. It can be slotted a couple of times, but I usually get them out with Caustic soda - it's easy enough by just dunking the steerer into a bucket of strong solution 1:4. Cheap And Nasty! Read and follow...

3k Full carbon fiber road bike fork 28.6mm... Worth Buying?

Price determines quality👍 I would suggest for a safety critical item like a fork, you buy a uk- supplied model. I have seen a couple of remote online purchase carbon forks fail, including a fake (but realistic) easton ec90. Uk imported items will have passed proper quality control (if its from...

    Just bought this🙄

Reductio ad valorem ...as we say in Wales😁 Note i cut the fork steerer to remove the stem from the frame - next I'll slot the steerer to release the stem. Much more common is to cut the stem to release the fork. Good call in this instance because the fork steerer is bent, and the bearings...
