.... I should add... I'll be replacing the Odyssey triple traps before my shins end up at A&E. And.... Miraculously the fork holds air and goes up and down as it should😲 I am tempted to flip the stem for the full xc look🤔😂

    2003 Canondale F800SL

It's been quite sometime since I've ventured into the Retrobike forums. But I always keep an eye out for a bargain, so when this popped up locally for less the cost of a Smoke rear I couldn't resist. It wants front wheel bearings and ill probably upgrade the tatty Deore octalink crank for an xt...

100/135. Adaptors off the interweb and a couple of small washer type spacers to get them in and discs on correct alignment then redish the wheels to centralise the rims. It only happened as i saw the wheels advertised really cheap and I like a challenge😁

    Xtr m970 crank bolt alternative?

I decided to take a punt on the type b Dura ace one of that era. Dims say its the right length and diametre. Assume it's the correct/same thread. Will report back on the off chance that it fits😁

Been using this quite a bit recently. Picked up a lovely pair of Mavic Elite XA 27.5 Boost wheels for it surprisingly cheaply. Bit of tweakage and they are in, front runs a smidge off centre. Lighter than the old tubeless wheels even with tubes in as i didnt have any sealant left. Anybody...

2004 Santa Cruz Blur suspension linkage parts.

I'm building my old Blur up for winter use. Theres a lot of play in the bottom pivot on the suspension linkage. Bearings are good, the play is partly due to the bush being worn and partly, I suspect, that the linkage is worn. Are spares for these available anywhere? Ta

It's a lovely spot, out of my front door and 5 mins through the country park. View from my patio is better though😁 Shiney bit in the distance is the sea at Pembrey Country Park. Picture really doesn't do it justice.

Maiden voyage complete. Just need to source some suitable grips, ideally eventually I will get a white Stalk stem for it aswell. Ill gently see if I can improve the paint at all but a repaint isn't on the cards at the moment.
