Re: Bearing surfaces look good,no brinneling,but I'll replace all the ball bearings as a matter of course. Its the black plastic cover/seal that's been damaged, two ball bearings were missing, and it was over tightened so it ran rough. I've tried to attach photos but even though I resize them...

Looking for a rear hub for my 1991 GT Korakoram, I'm looking for a donor hub to replace the damaged seals and cover on mine. I'm assuming the LX has similar internals . External condition not important as long as the internals are good/complete. Cheers

Hi walkmanman The Mercian is a racing version so sprint wheels maybe a possibility, although I've not had a lot to do with tubs coming from MTBs. I have considered buying hubs and rims and having them built up so once again that's a possibility. Let me know what you have, you never know.
