The same, you have to wrap it tightly from the top of the bars downwards and then secure at the ends with the plugs and then it stays put just fine. It is a case of you get what you pay for and I've only used it to get the colour I want but its actually quite comfortable if you get it on right...

Re: Claud Butler Majestic Snap sort of, I think mines a bit later than yours. This I bought as a bare frame, built it up once with period kit and its back as a bare frame again so will probably get built up again in the summer.

Ok I'll jump first. And as the marque is very sadly no more it seems, Ladies and Gentleman I give you Geoffrey the Butler. All my own work (build thread here) and a machine I very much enjoyed building and enjoy riding.

Crap weather and being grounded by the Government means I've used my time wisely and built a fair few more 1/24th scale slot cars, so here's a couple of pics of some of my recent builds and a work in progress.

That's turned out superbly. I love the fork colour scheme and the fade on the bands around the seat tube decal, very nice indeed. I also like the fact you seem to keep changing your mind on equipment as the build progresses, I quite often do the same on my longer term builds.

That's lovely and what looks like a nice mix of period correct parts. If it were mine i'd strip it down completely, clean everything and polish it all as much as possible and then put it back together replacing all the serviceable parts like cables etc where needed and replacing the small trim...

They do look a little chunky in that photo but the don't seem it when looking at them in the flesh, it could be because of the fastback fitting at the rear of the seat cluster
