A Scotch pad is way too coarse for polishing, it is probably a preparation step. I polish my GT RTS by applying the metal polish compound with a rag and then wiping it off with a clean rag. It's just tedious work and you better wear nitrile gloves or your hands will become very dirty. Oh, great...

Hmm, I bought my zaskar in 1995. Maybe it was the 1996 model.

Those are '95 decals, I had one at that time. I cut out the blue part and removed the Zaskar from the top tube as I hated it. I much preferred the '94 decals that said "all GT terra" on the downtube.

There was another iteration after this with Syntace stuff. But I never got used to the Lefty and when I did a test ride on the then new Rocky Mountain Element 29er, I was sold on that bike and this Ventana got sold off.

I always liked the looks of Turner bikes. But when I got one, I was really disappointed in the ride quality. I bought a 5spot DW, which was rubbish. Then I got a used RFX, that was better, but heavy and very stable (so not really nimble). Still love the look though :)

I did contact Rocky this morning. Hopefully they have an answer. In the meantime I tried the rocker from my 2012 Element, but it doesn't fit. I could make it fit if needed. I just need a 0.1mm spacer for the main pivot and 1.5mm spacers for each seatstay and a 3mm longer bolt. But that would be...

I was gifted this frame, but it came without much of the hardware, including the rocker. I'm having a hard time sourcing the rocker, does anyone know if another bike shared the same hardware with the Thunderbolt? The Rocky website doesn't list a spare part rocker for the Thunderbolt. I compared...

Still have not found time to fix the valve issue on the shock. Maybe just send it for service?
