It’s getting HOT in here ….

Expensive but in the grand scheme of things, not that bad. Considering how the world has changed in the last decade, I paid Bob Jackson £200 back in 2015 to respray my '96 VooDoo Bizango. Single colour pearlescent white and apply the waterslide decals (that I supplied). I had a quote from Argos...

It’s getting HOT in here ….

@sinnerman has done some incredible build threads on here and resurrected many classic frames. He would be worth messaging to ask who he uses for spray and decal work. The Klein and Fat Chance guys seem to have restorations pretty much dialed these days as well. Although, the money they command...

It’s getting HOT in here ….

This is true if you are not fussed on size or colour! If, like me you are only in the market for 18's in original paint then they are very few and far between.

It’s getting HOT in here ….

As seen originally in the 1997 catalogue by a 16 year old me! Wanted one but saw the price and never dreamed I'd ever get one! Only took a quarter of a century!

It’s getting HOT in here ….

Yes, the foreground one is a '97, previously Ernies and originally imported by @Faghetaboutit way back in 2010 from memory. I coveted it for many years and imported the background one as a complete bike from the original owner in Illinois USA back in 2020 during Covid time. It is a 17" and '98...

These were mine a little while back. Needed to sell one to justify the other. Should've waited a while as the market was a bit cooler then!

It’s getting HOT in here ….

I could forward you some of the images of mine that @Ernie sent me when he sold it to me a couple of years back if it would help with the finer details?

They all belong to forum member @SpearedHot in the US. Not sure if he is still active. This pic is from a decade or so ago.

Would the owner of this 98 Hot kindly sell it back to me please 🤣

Oh wow, brings back a lot of memories for me this one! My son, then aged about 7, stuck that little green smiley on the head tube. I thought that it was rather fitting so never removed it. Great to see other owners after me thought the same.

It’s getting HOT in here ….

Looks pretty good as it is! Are those decals proper waterslides? Back in the day, Kona could supply original waterslide decals so you could re finish your frame. Hard to get these days and the decals are what can make or break a respray. I'd build it up and ride it if it were mine. Check that...

Would the owner of this 98 Hot kindly sell it back to me please 🤣

Here is the thread from when I sold it to you @Monkeeee01 https://www.retrobike.co.uk/threads/kona-hot-frame-sold.180742/ I believe that it changed hands a couple of times and then ended up in @Canuck 's extensive collection Not sure if he still has it but might be worth a message. For what...
