    Jaguar

More suicidal still is the fact that Jaguar have zero ( yes zero) new cars for sale in UK today . Prepping for their move to 100% EVs - complete lunacy if you ask me. It also appears that their future models will all be hideous overweight monstrosities that are effectively a garden...

Is it best to sell a full bike or just a frame

Politicians answer, both are applicable. I sometimes buy complete bikes to obtain the parts I am after and then sell-on the frame or vice versa. I have also built up renovated frames with both used parts for a low cost build as well as new parts in some cases. I think all bikes have a ceiling...

    Just bought this🙄

interested in "next I'll slot the steerer to release the stem." -and how successful or not this is - I have just given up on a 531 fork with aluminium quill stem 'fused' into the steerer along its entire length - I cut the quill stem to release the fork from frame but none of...

Is an Overbury's Pioneer suitable for dirt drops?

imho the later overburys pioneer with sloping top tube looks all wrong with drops, you would be better off adding drops to earlier peak finder/cross fell which were modelled on Moots Mountaineer of 1982-83 and look ostensibly like a swollen touring bike. On a pioneer you could try...

Older Roberts filet brazed frame information sought please

great find and will restore beautifully , unicrown forks came along later so this design of forks was de-rigeur early 80s up till around 86, 87 ish and it also probably indicates hand built frame construction using frame tubing that has to be brazed and cant be TIG welded. quality...

    Lightest Steel Frame?

I have weighed a 56cm lee cooper built 853 frame at 1.330 kg and 708 fork at 1.05 kg making that frame set under 2.4 kg . This is lighter than the all 753 sbdu frame I also built up this year. For the absolute lightest Reynolds I believe 931 and 953 allow frame builders to go lighter still...

I can remember lusting after the 1985 'The Monarch' which was Tange Prestige and TIG welded, That came out a year after I bought my first Overburys, I have never seen one since and also not seen a frameset come up for sale. However, I thought about building this one up as an...
