Sorry for slacking on an update. The bike is almost done. I will post pictures of this (and various others i'm currently working on) soon. BTW, it looks incredible and will be around 24lb complete!

This unusual fs popped up locally yesterday. Nothing about this bike looks familiar to me (other than the AMP fork). I can't see a rear shock or lower pivots but there seems to be a upper pivot. Anybody recognize this design or manufacturer?

Re: Tough one. I do recall Clark Kent making a custom double rimmed fat bike for a Iditabike event one year. That's my 2nd guess, Clark Kent.

Thanks for the information. Makes sense that the hooded ss dropouts would be mid-late 90's, vs early 90's.

Not great news about the breakage..... I've read the frames were primarily built for racing using Foco tubing on some road bikes. No idea about their mt frames. Looking forward to getting the bike. Seems to have unfiled brazing around the bb, tigged elsewhere.

Just managed to obtain a very interesting NAC singlespeed from I think the early 90's. Not much information on-line about NAC other than being made in Oregon and they have a bit of a "cult" following in the western race circuit. Has anybody heard of the brand? Impressions?

Re: Finally completed the initial build, took a couple of years but I think it was worth it. Initial shakedown ride (down my alley) felt very nice, agile handing, strong brakes, cushy ti bars and seatpost. I love this bike! I will post additional pictures today.

Re: I'm fairly sure the ROS9+ is the only frame from Niner that can run the 29+, 3" tires. The ROS9 has a new cast chainstay yoke allowing 2.35"s to fit with a little room to spare. Friday was a big parts day. Picked up my brakes, saddle, and bb30 bottom, bracket. Just waiting for my buddy to...

Me too, it's quite a looker in person. Currently trying to locate an afforable (to me) bb30 bottom bracket to be able to proceed with the build. There are not as many options as one would think. Aside from the brakes and fork this build is on a serious budget. The Wife just doesn't understand...

Re: Post pictures if you can, it's fairly easy to date Brodies by the frame details. Otherwise 5474 would probably put in the early to mid 90's?
