Will that noticeably/adversely affect handling? Incidentally, while I can find no stamping in the steerer I have seen the original...

    Mercian built Sid Mottram £150

    I'm trying to remember the "story" behind mine. I THINK it was a gift to a long-time member (President?) of a Leicestershire Road Club with which Mottram had links and had Mercian build it.
