I vote for Silverfish too 8) A steel Yeti must have a steel stem, alloy atacs can be use on ARCs or what ever, so Sebastian's Ultimate were my second choice !

no, you dont have to change the whole group. only the m732 front and rear mech are for 1989. the headset should be a 1 1/4" (m737) the other parts are correct, take a look: http://mombat.org/Shimano.htm#1990 but I also put the m732 mechs on my 1990 merlin, its ok 8) it gives 3 different...

normally you need a 28.6mm - 1 1/8" front mech. for 1990 and higher you can use the 735 XT group, 732 is only 1989 if you will build it period correct. look at mombat timeline: http://mombat.org/MOMBAT/BikeHistoryPages/Timeline.html#1990 cheers michael
