Sorted Older, 26" wheel, steel frame for the taller gent.....

I've got the BFG's Palomar frame you'd be more than welcome to, Karma thread here only 4130 cro-mo and low end (but still a pre-halfraud's GT with cantilevers). It's tatty but solid with plenty of braze-ons, could be refinished to ape a higher model? Best of luck finding something a bit nicer...

What Retrobike "feature" do you avoid when looking for bikes?

Just triggered a memory of another pet peeve. Photos taken last year/decade/century showing the bike in a condition appropriate to description/price only to arrive to view and find it's been used/abused as a winter hack and lived outside locked to a lamp post in the firing line of every gritter...

What Retrobike "feature" do you avoid when looking for bikes?

Ahem, have I not already volunteered to rehome all the snowflake wheels (for the sake of the community of course)? :D

    1993 Lava Dome Pudsey

Dunno. could be either or, both, or neither knowing the bay but it's listed as both 16" (in the details) and 19" description. Fingers crossed for you that @XTSTIMAN is on the money here. 🤞

    1993 Lava Dome Pudsey

I'm gonna say maybe it was the combination of a 16" 19" frame, full working order with a flat tyre & goodnight gears (most of us prefer Shimano, Suntour etc :D ) that put people off. But in all seriousness I'm surprised too & hope it turns out a gooden for you.

What Retrobike "feature" do you avoid when looking for bikes?

Hey, I've got loads of bar ends!* *none of them are currently on a bike though, as I don't seem to use them any more...

Any clue on value or being desirable?

Does look lovely, I have to wonder how truly original it is just having noticed the rear skewer. It looks like it's intended for a later 135mm ATB/MTB hub (lots of thread sticking through) but still a sweet looking machine.

    Vintage tracker Frankenbike tribute build

Progress nonetheless, and already looking way better than it has any right to if one was to simply read the text describing what you've done and how you've done it. Inspirational, you've got me thinking once again of building my own cruiser/chopper type bastardised bike using unwanted old...

Withdrawn Kynast Stallion 18” Spares or Repairs in Merseyside

Really is a shame, I think the lad has an Alder Hey appointment end of May so that might be the next time we're over that way so will have to work on the missus in that time & if it's still around then could grab it after he's done there. What size is the frame BTW don't recall seeing it...

    Karma GT Frames etc

No worries, if time allows for packing etc any time I'll give a shout back here. Much rather see them get built up and used than tipped

"Isn't modern bicycle technology absolutely wonderful?"😍

They are good for the sort of riding the lad does, much reduced chain slap/dropped chains even without a chain guide/DCD & don't even affect downshifting that badly. Also, hopefully that was @raidan73 's twisted sense of humour? Otherwise what is this forum becoming?

    Karma GT Frames etc

Well, in my haste to get these put on here I completely neglected to mention the fact that we're in Manchester. Not really keen to post TBH as don't have much in the way of packing materials/time sadly.

    Karma GT Frames etc

Next up on the chopping block is a 21" Spesh Hardrock 27.5 aluminium frame c.2007??? Again it's tatty but no dents or cracks AFAIK, it has provision for V or disc brakes & is honestly not the worst looking "modern" frame I've ever seen but it's off to the scrap pile if nobody wants it. And...

    Karma GT Frames etc

Here for your consideration for pre tip-run rescue are some (not strictly <98 but kinda fit better here than 98+ forum) frames & a complete bike. First up for adoption is an 18" GT Outpost frame c.1999 (no Caratti label or canti' provision on frame) in need of a good amount of TLC or...
