1996 Kona Hei Hei - The First King Kahuna

New fork is in and installed. It came with a cromo 9.5" steerer tube. I swapped it with the alloy one from the lime fork. The weight difference was 100g. It's also the right length so I dont need over an inch of spacers. Feels great riding up and down my street. What does everyone think of...

1994 Brodie Sovereign - DeKerf Paintjob

If I had a dollar for every offer on the frame I could sell it and buy another haha I reckon M900 is full nines but I agree about the ancillary bites. Fork and stem first and foremost. Nearly winter here and the bikes will go away for skiis and snowshoes so I have some time to search. I think...

1994 Brodie Sovereign - DeKerf Paintjob

Recently acquired this by way of trade. 1994 Sovereign (18" frame, a size smaller than I normally ride). Ritchey logic tubing with prestige ultimate ultralight stays. The frame was repainted by Chris DeKerf and hung in a Vancouver shop for years as advertisement for his custom paint jobs, at...

Swap 1994 18" Brodie Sovereign - Repainted by DeKerf

Handmade in Canada, the soverign was their top of the line race bike in 94. A mix of tange pretisge ultimate tubing. Professionally repainted by Chris DeKerf somewhat recently. Still in amazing shape with the odd chip. I am about to build this up but I know it's an inch too small for me. I...

Cheers. They are the exact forks on there now just orange. These have been fully pulled apart and rebuilt as you can tell. Some heavier springs installed as well.

BoTM BotM October 2021 nominations thread

Mortonm's 1996 Kona Hei Hei King Kahuna 1996 was the first model year for the King Kahuna in response to professional riders feeling the standard Hei Hei was not rigid enough. To combat this Kona employed a 6-4 Ti rear end. 6-4 Ti is fearfully expensive and equally as hard to work with...

    1998 Kona Ku - Pipmeister

At the risk of being rude the real answer for me is none of these. It's a very rare and special bike and deserves a pretty special fork. Definitely run one of these to get it going but keep an eye out for something that really sings
