Ahh yes, I saw this one. Apart from the indecent price, the head tube doesn't fit. I need 1 1/8 inch and 420mm height

In principle, I agree with you. I would also somehow get a 3x drive train together, but a Gatorblade? Not a chance. Looks like they've all disappeared or been installed.

Oh they are, especially on the fork but's not that bad yet. It's a shame but it can't be changed and it still drives, that's the main thing for me. I'm not a dealer. The broken spoke nipples bother me more at the moment, I urgently need to replace them.

I'm not a good climber, I run 32/16 or 52 gear inches at the moment. The steepest section on my round is 16% and I just about manage that.

I like the look of them. I don't know much about frame building but I could imagine they also reduce flex in that section as they don't need slots in the stays and offer a wide support surface. But that's just my opinion.

So now I finally had a brodie, but with a defective fork. I wanted to ride it as soon as possible so I had to find a solution. Some time ago I had bought a bike as a donor for future projects that had everything I needed. A DT Swiss wheelset, wonderfully light and still in good enough shape...

I think the bike deserves it's own little build thread. So what's it about? I discovered an offer on ebay by chance a few months ago and thought it was a joke at first... "Old 26 inch Mountainbike Brodie" But my curiosity was piqued, so after a brief and very friendly and informative email...
