    Cycling Art: Important or Not

This is one of my favourite posters. There's a Ukrainian seller putting these out as wall art at A0 size (that's big!)

    Vintage French randonneuer's and porteurs.

That Torpedo rear hub has had an incredible hard life. You feel like taking it out and shooting it, put it out it's misery! 😀🤣

    Rare Italian Bicycles

Okay, so I'm breaking my own rules here, but there's a tenuous Italian connection! This is a Marotias, from Eastern Spain, one of the very rarest of bikes available. Normally only found in collections, and almost never resold online. They tend to pass from one collector to another. This one...

    The Altenburger/GB/Magistroni Road Ensemble

Nice that: but still not really evidence of a 'groupset'. Magistroni were producing headsets, bottom brackets, chain sets, chain rings (for other people) and hubs. Knowing a little about Germans and Italians (I've lived in both countries), they're not the best for collaborative projects! I just...

    Rare Italian Bicycles

Only two rules: must be Italian, and not the everyday! This is a thread for bikes you rarely, if ever see on auction sites 😎👌 To kick off the Colnago Master Dual: basically the forerunner of the Carbitubo with split down tube. Saronni apparently 'loved it '!

    My Italian and Belgian bikes

Always had a soft spot for the Columbus Max tubeset. Eventually I'll find one in my size 😀🤞

    Cycling Art: Important or Not

This is another example of Saddle manufacturer meets iconic design house 'Lobster'. Nice little video of them designing and finishing a Supercorsa. I saw one of these go for equivalent $1800 on a Japanese forum in June. I guess it's all down to rarity and the cache of the designer. Lots of bucks...

This is a bit more modern, but it's kinda retro also 😀

Daniel Rebour - Illustrator. Who's your favourite cycling illustrator/Cartoonist?

I've only seen a few Franquin cartoons, will definitely be looking him up later

    The Altenburger/GB/Magistroni Road Ensemble

I suppose it's a bit like the French cycling components industry, it's a mystery why such a strong and vibrant manufacturing base with many innovative and world leading products should all but vanish in a few years at the end of the 80's. Some things just get lost to time and that's that

    The Altenburger/GB/Magistroni Road Ensemble

I can't find any mention, (or evidence) for such a groupset. There's nothing at all on the Classic Rendezvous site and Joels Blackbirds pages on Magistroni say nothing of it. He's pretty much the expert on it. Of note though, is the fact when Magistroni disappeared in the early 60's, a few...
