I think there were 10 different finishes to the Mistral rear derailleur. Looking at it now, it's quite funky and futuristic. Colour matched jockey wheels. Phwowarrr!

I do really like Ofmega parts, they seem to have realised they can't compete with Campagnolo and Shimano and just went their own merry, and quite stylish way! Those rear derailleurs come on a wealth of colours!

    Just bought this🙄

Talking about stuffing bikes into houses, I remember going to see a pair of wheels in a big flat in old Edinburgh. It had an enormous square hallway with all the rooms off it. There must've been 20 bikes in the hallway, and as I passed another door to a room, it was stuffed full of bikes and...

    Lightest Steel Frame?

I remember meeting Graeme Obree once at a ln event at the Velodrome in Manchester and discussing frame building and he was very proud of building a 1400gr road frame it is 853, but how to shift another 150gr...? That's average carbon frame weight territory.

    Lightest Steel Frame?

There's a girl on YouTube Drilliumed a chain set and gear/brake levers. She saved about 60gr.... Not really worth it from the right savings pov. Better off buying latex inner tubes! 🤣🤣🤣

It could be similar to what BMC (another Swiss outfit) did, a carbon fibre, or steel wire connected to a wedge, a very small movement of the connected bolt would be enough to lock the parts tight together.

    GT Edge 853 forks?

Thinking of buying a GT Edge for an off road/gravel bike. Would like to have a disc brake set up on the front. Trouble is the head tube is for inch steerers only. Any clues on an inch carbon (or steel) disc Can't find anything on the Chinese eBay or second hand market.
