Dave Russell - Back to Blue

Do you reckon not original then? There is only room for a 27x1 tire in the front fork, whereas the rear will take something much bigger.

Dave Russell - Back to Blue

I’m currently trying to kid myself that this will fit me when it’s finished but it’s almost certainly too big 😢 It’s going to break my heart.

This is it for this weekend now. Pretty pleased with progress having blitzed a few bits.

    "S-Works Tarmac SL6" (Chinese copy)

I've been tempted to give this a go and build up a super-lite road bike using a carbon copy frame. Have done pretty much zero research on it though. Great to know yours has lasted the test of time. I'm getting my project backlog down to something manageable at the moment, so it could become a...

Dave Russell - Back to Blue

Accompanied by the obligatory Panaracer Pasela. Bought two 27 x 1¼" tires without thinking only to find the front fork will only take a 1". Think I will still keep a 1¼" on the rear though.

Dave Russell - Back to Blue

Still very slow progress being made on this, but completed something of significance this week! Aesthetically the Kinlin T10 rims look great and are a fantastic match for the originals, however they are only single wall and can't take a lot of tension or de-stressing with any great force. The...

    Fixed cup removal (with pics)

Thank you very much! This was an English threaded bottom bracket where the drive side unscrews clockwise (left hand thread). However, the less common Italian thread bottom bracket unscrews anti-clockwise (right hand thread). So... you need to figure out whether you have an English or Italian...

Withdrawn Moulton Standard Mk 1 1965

** This has found a new home ** Usual story... I've run out of space. Up for sale is my Moulton Standard Mk 1 from 1965 (serial number: K65-160064). The frame was powder-coated by Aurora in Aldershot in reseda green with cream rack. There are some nice-ish components as follows: Rims: Sun...

Removing powder coat from suspension pivot and axle points

Acetone on a Q-tip and a very, very steady hand. Would only really recommend for targeted, small areas though.

King Alfred's Way: New Offroad/Bikepacking Route

Did KAW starting last Thursday, finishing yesterday afternoon. To say the weather was inappropriate was a slight understatement. I will forever have fond memories of pushing the bike up Butser Hill in horizontal driving rain and a 25mph headwind, however the real killer were the chalk tracks...
