Recommend a suspension fork for 1999 Kona Explosif.

Around $200 was pretty realistic 2+ years ago, but things aren't selling like they used to. I wouldn't be afraid of offering 120 for a nice set if you see something come up on ebay.

85 Fisher competition question. Welded? Serial w/f

Yeah that's what I was thinking as well. I know Competition models had a C in the serial. Any idea what the PC had? This frame appears to have an F in the serial

    eBay scam?

Take the offer and ship to the address given to you by Ebay, shouldn't be an issue. I've sold 15 or so items that way, never had an issue outside of ship time. Maybe take extra pics just in case.

85 Fisher competition question. Welded? Serial w/f

For sale locally is an 85ish Fisher. Seller said it was a competition, but I assumed all were brazed. This is welded. He stated it was owned by Bill Best and there are similarities between this frame and Joe Murray's. https://www.mountainbikeroots.com/events/norba1985.php What are your thoughts?

Saving this bent Marin team derailleur hanger: How would you go about it?

I'd agree, heat would be ideal. You're already set up to apply it. A 10mm rod or spare hub would be better than a QR.

    Odd old Titanium frame, ID?

This popped up locally. Can't figure out what it is, maybe Russian? Rather unrefined in many aspects. Guy has it listed as a Trek. KGB cycles Mig 3.3 ?

BB Bearing cup cross threading / Drive side

Rotate out 2 back in one, repeat. If there is debris this is the best way to get it out of the threads without damaging them. Similar to backing out a carbon fouled spark plug. Back and forth with a lot of lube.

    2000 Kona Score Titanium

Had a chance to hit some dry dirt trails for the first time. Tons of fun. The Shiver SC soaks up the roots and rocks very well. The frame is VERY laterally stiff, no deflection under power. I feel some give in the rear triangle under harsher impacts, which is welcome. I'm still trying to learn...

    2000 Kona Score Titanium

Finally had a chance to give it a good shakedown. Going from Uber light CK qr hubs laced to 517's to Hope II's, bolt through axles and Stan's Flow rims slowed things down on pavement. Was about 10-15% slower over 30 miles... Plus the slightly higher front end didn't help. Felt great, however...
