@Tootyred didn’t you have some kid 80s cruiser/MTB tyres for sale? Perfect for an Antelope which was more of a trekking bike . I think @ratzkiwatzki might not be UK based judging by the spelling of tires though.

Getting tyres on… Lubrication will help enormously. Will stop the rubber gripping/binding against the rim. Very soapy water is all you need. Plus getting the section of bead that is already inside the rim to be in. the middle of rim (lowest point) to create more slack for the section of bead...

Having collected and restored a fair few Raleigh kids bikes from the 70s during the mid 90s, the state of the rack looks normal to me! Not sure anyone can afford to get stuff rechromed anymore as the cost today is absolutely insane.

Ah OK. I’m after a 31.8mm DIA clamp. Sometimes the Campagnolo fronts offered a level of adjustment via a removable pin and using a different hole on the band clamp to accommodate different seat tube sizes.
