how wide are the icon risers?

I am sceptical of 3.3lb for the HOT - that's less than 1.5kg which would be insanely light for a steel frame.

heh @longun interested in the Middleburn Duo spider/chainrings - hard to tell but how much life do you think they have left? (inner/spider maybe looked better than the 42T outer to me?) also the blue CNC "unknown" cantis - do these have any mechanism for adjusting spring tension? wasn't sure...

try and experiment a bit before you settle on something though - I know its easy enough to see some cool youtube or instagram build and immediately think "I want that!", but you might find you actually prefer something else in the end my experiment definitely made me realise that there is such...

one more thing to consider is stem interface - if you have an older stem its probably too long and likely to have a clamp that will make fitting a high rise or sweepy bar very awkward or even downright impossible (eg if the bar has a crossbrace) I know you can get quill adapters (I have one)...

I recently tried VERY cruisery bars on my Kona as an experiment (they were old cromo bars going cheap) - 100mm rise with about a 45 degree backsweep - despite their cheapo nature they weren't superheavy for cromo (about 560g which is still a bunch lighter than many of the boutique cromo 'moto'...

I think pretty much any frame essentially becomes a bone rattler with MTB tyres at that pressure :)

if you mean will the pads fit in the shoes then yes i think so I have some generic shimano compatible pads that fit in my avid arch rival shoes ok, so assume the avid pads will also fit in shimano shoes
