    1960s Reg Harris Campione

Looking closer at the seat cluster it appears to be a full wrap over style similar to Brian Rourke frames. This was introduced to BR frames by Mike (?!) Kowalski who was previously the Clive Stuart frame builder in the North (where Brian worked as shop manager) . As RG bikes were in...

Emperors Tribute II - Complete Bike

Brilliant Nob! Will he be riding it (in anger?)?

    Joe Waugh in PDM colours

753 stickers are purple because that was the colour of the wrappers on the Cadbury's Mini Rolls the meeting had on the day it was all decided.

Dave Russell - Back to Blue

I had a frame from Dave in the late 70's/early 80's (can't remember exactly!) with that style of chunky seat stay.

    1960s Reg Harris Campione

Reg's premises were in Macclesfield but I don't know if the frames were made there or if they just built up bikes with frames from the trade. I remember adverts in the cycling press BITD listing the models and they looked quite classy at the time. I was given a RH frame by a friend some years...

    Frank Lipscombe

Very nice looking machine, I'm not sure I've seen one like it before. I'm also not sure that is a Cinelli stem. It looks more like an Il Primo to me. There should be a rubber bung in the hole. The Mafac brakes are interesting as well. I wonder if Mafac actually made them and they could be...

    It was different back then!

Yer all beginners  I started in '61 riding a club 25 age 14, Benelux 5 speed 14-24 (only 2/3 actually worked without slipping), khaki shorts, t-shirt, green socks and school shoes. Hadn't a clue really but I finished and the club 'fast man' starting behind me took 6 miles to catch me...

    Where else to sell?

Mrs ON is constantly telling/urging/nagging ( 😇) me to get rid/thin out/sell my 'collection'. Only 11 these days including a carbon TT bike never built from 2012, 2 Classic MTB's, 4 Classic Road, 3 'Modern' RB's and a 70's CX bike set up on the turbo. Oh, and a 50's road/path frame in the loft...

Vintage Claude Butler "Tour of Britain" 1956 (Mystery solved)

What lovely condition for a bike nearly 70 years old.

    For Sale 98/99 Steel Bianchi

A friend has this 98/99 steel Bianchi for sale. I know it's not especially 'retro' - but it is steel! Knowing John it will be in goodcondition with not a huge mileage. As he's 83 now and has discovered e-bikes he wants to cut down his small 'collection'. Specification: 54 cm (centre BB to...

Thierry gave me his bidon (Festina) after we picked him and Mauro Gianetti up at Het Volk in '93. Still got it in the cupboard. Any idea what he is doing now? Not heard of him for years.

    Cyclocross canti question.

I have a LOT of Shimano cantis that are available. I have them on my 80's Paul Milnes CX frame and they work fine with 700c. Please PM me if you would like some.

    Grandini

    Are you sure about that?

    Long cranks.

I have a pair of Campag Pista 177.5 cranks complete with Campag Pedals plus a couple of 151BCD rings to fit. They were on my '72 Dave Russell but never to be used again I reckon. If I were to sell them as a set I'd ask around £150?

At least they've got mudguards! Looks like an all chrome finish on the frame but I can't make out the brand. Shake Earnshaw, a good Yorkshire man from Wakefield area. His grandson was a clubmate of mine in Calder Clarion, quite a handy rider and very good on the back of a tandem incidentally...

Looking at the forks, probably a Bates frame. Great aero position for the 'pilot' and I like the aero 'skull caps'. The weather looks a bit like today, pimply sissing down
