Drilling chainrings give you in excess of +12w per min @ 122 rpm (fact….😉) And the magic circles drilled on Aende frames mean that many of them have to be tethered to the ground when not being ridden. Lovely stuff.

There is a sub 7kg Merckx MXL Leader on weight weenies (looks to be c. 55cm). Frame is 1920g. The MXL in Columbus Max is arguably the best *steel* racing frame in terms of weight, handling, stiffness. Interesting that the difference between that and super lights is only 200 - 300g. Half a bidon...

A while back I had a Ribble made of 653 Record (drawn to 0.4/0.7 I think). Never weighed the frame but it was a flyer, if a little flexi under power.
