    Silverfish 1991 Funk

I’m pretty sure the pigment in the paint is Cromaflair. You could order a colour book and double check; https://www.viavisolutions.com/en-us/literature/chromaflair-light-interference-pigments-data-sheets-en.pdf

Cool. I’m sure the photos don’t do it justice and I like the 3DV!

    Magic Motorcycle crank

That was the spleen. Kidney next and then maybe the gallbladder. Although the second hand market for those is pretty crowded😉

    Magic Motorcycle crank

Given how rare these things are, I don’t think the price is too bad… Anyone need a kidney? https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/285686973905?mkcid=16&mkevt=1&mkrid=711-127632-2357-0&ssspo=-mCt4kIuQbu&sssrc=4429486&ssuid=RhCEYpiAQDi&var=&widget_ver=artemis&media=COPY

FUNK EXPERTS help - identify the year?

A ‘93 should have the later decals so it’s either a ‘91 or ‘92. I’d say ‘91 because of the screw in stops on the seat stays but ‘92 because of the seat post diameter. Imprecise…

    Imprecise science.

FUNK EXPERTS help - identify the year?

The early bikes used a screw in cable stop in the front mech. The roller was added later.

FUNK EXPERTS help - identify the year?

Early bikes used screw-in gear cable stops and the half moon guides on the top tube were also riveted. Overtime these were welded but the transition took a few years. A ‘91 might have a mixture of both.

FUNK EXPERTS help - identify the year?

Unfortunately not. Some have numbers, some don’t. The cable stops and guides are your best options but there’s quite a bit of variation with those as well.

New Funk Fat® forks - read this if you want one!

I sent a photo of @fguki’s fat fork to Daryl and he sent this; It’s a bit crazy….but the fat fork had a lot of small details that make a huge difference. We did finally get it all sorted, but then Rock Shox and suspension forks came on the scene….. It’s a bit scary building forks because there...

No worries. There are quite a few 27.2’s on eBay but the 26.8 is a rare beast. There’s one at the moment but it’s way too expensive.

Should have read it properly… Well spotted! No idea but the photo was taken in Japan (see bottom right), so maybe it a "Japan only" thing?

    Show me your.....Funks

It's from the resurrected Funk Cycles company i.e >2000 and not retro (yet). Up to 2012 they looked like this; ... and after they looked like this; The eagled eyed will have noticed that I've changed the gold between the lions legs to blue and have tweaked the Colorado flag on mine. I...

    Early Funk (with repair)

I can’t add much but mine was imported into the UK in 1990 and it was a 17”. I bought it from the first owner in ‘93 and sold it last year. Unfortunately, Daryl doesn’t have any of the paperwork and he keeps reminding me that it was +30 years ago.
