I’ve dug them out… The spindle’s are steel and I think the out bits might be Titanium as they’re non magnetic and Aluminium would be too soft for this. I took them apart to replace the bearings but I‘m struggling to find a NOS service kit. Maybe good for spares?

Finally found the seatpost and chainrings which has meant I’ve been able to make some good progress on the build. The lubricant in the freewheel is very sticky which isn’t surprising given that it’s NOS but there’s quite a bit of chain sag when peddling backwards… Good job it’s a e-stay!

I had the same problem. You can adjust the spindle but you need the BB tool to do it. If you don’t have one, I can loan you mine.
