Shogun Prairie Breaker II - build thread

Yeah it's very laid back. I've not done anything further on this one as life has been getting in the way a little but aim to get it built back up with the original parts in the next few weeks

    Show us your Diamond Backs!!!

Thanks. Bought it completely original (even with the brahma bars) in nearly mint condition but prefer a modern 1x setup so converted it. I can honestly say it's the nicest geometry out of any bike I've owned, mainly due to the extra long top tube compared with other 21-23" c-c bikes I have, so I...

A large Saracen Kiliflyer £70 Wigan

I picked this up a few days ago. Can confirm it's a home brew paint job that's flaking here and there. Also it's 126mm rear hub spacing so thank the heavens it's got a really nice wheelset Shimano 600 sealed / flared hubs, stainless spokes etc. Structurally sound but aesthetically iffy at all...

    Saracen Kili Flyer 87

Aaaand THIS is why I love retrobike! Thanks for the unexpectedly quick response :) 130mm is fine, I've shoved a 135mm into a 130mm Peugeot I've got and it's totally ok. I've a 126mm Shogun and doing the same was very sketchy

I know this may not even get seen due to time elapsed but here goes... Do you know the rear hub spacing please? I guess 126/130mm but hoping for 135. thanks!

1990 Diamond Back Apex build thread - £10 Marketplace find

Gotta love a Diamond Back. My favourite ride out of all bikes I've ever owned is a '92 Apex, just because of the loooong top tube
