    Re: My two pence worth, or one euro as I call it... Boesheild is mineral oil (plus mineral spirit or white spirit) baby oil is perfumed mineral oil :D Any oil or grease will seal the surface and prevent rust Anything that removes grease is bad

    Re: Maybe pop a p clamp onto your seat stay and hang the chain on this or draw up the one you had and someone clever here will make it :D

    Re: Thanks :D I was trying to date a Pashley ice cream tricycle work bike (don't ask!) from a photo and all pashley's look like the 1950's to me :D It didn't help but the photo was of a completely disassembled bike, like to see pic?

    Re: Brush/rub off the loose bits then spray with a rattle can of clear coat then fit it to your beautiful res prayed frame, kind of rat rod look, or find someone with ocd tendencies and tell them that's what you intend doing, they won't be able to resist painting it for you! :D

    Re: These ones are part of the brake 'shoe' no separate pieces, the shoe is 40mm long so not a great deal of stopping power, anyway braking is for wusses :D

    Re: Wheel guides. No idea where you can get some (other than my shed) if you get stuck you can buy mine cheap they are a little corroded but useable.

    Re: Isn't that a standard 'Mountain bike' cable end? Cables are available at any bike shop/site with the barrel on one end (like yours) and the pear shape (road bike) on the other, cut off the one you don't need.

    :D Sushi. But seriously... white flour has the same fast acting carbohydrate as table sugar but isn't sweet. So eat anything made with white flour (I believe you have gluten free products in the uk) i.e. Pastry, bread, savory biscuits etc try to avoid high fat until after the ride as this...

    Re: If you intend (?) going over the handlebars then a helmet is a must, they are a very good way to protect your forehead when it hits Tarmac, not much use in any other situation. I would always recomend gloves, when you come off (hopefully you won't try this) you always put your palms down...
