Do you like this frame? Manufacturer FOUND !!

Re: Under the bracket you can see in the first two digits of the frame number from which year the frame is. Favorit did make their own parts, and sometimes they did have some similarity with Western parts. As the brakes some of them looked like Mafac, Derailleurs looked like Campagnolo, etc.

Bike of the month August 2019 - NOMINATIONS

Because in the documentation I did find only in that year this color scheme 'Antelope Slate metallic with red decals'. And because the frame numbers starts with a letter I indicating the 17.5 inch frame size as was common at that time.

    Motobecane Child Racer

I cannot find any specific information about this French junior bike. I presume it is from mid 80's. Anybody knows? Thanks in advance. I am planning to restore it with the enclosed original drop bar. With nice special jiunior sized (double action) brake levers.

    Size seat post

I am busy restoring a Gitane Criterium 1817 from 1978. I am sure the seatpost which is in it, is not the right one more about size. There is an Italian brand mounted, but not nice. What size should it be?

RBotM April 2019 - Theme month - Your favourite lugs!!!

Nice theme this months. I do not have ambitions to win, due to the faboulus pictures of lugs already shown. But I do like through the years the specific Peugeot lugs. Were the checkered pattern is shown. I do not know another brand which who has such thing as well.

Posssible, the framenumber contains an "S" as production plant. There is a sticker near the bracket which says it is build in England. According to the internet sites I know I cannot find which plant it is. I bought the bike here in The Netherlands. There is no sticker as well from a local bike...

I thought I had seen everything before, but it was completely new to me. This Raleigh Silhouette (according to framenumber july 1981) has 27 inch wheels with new Schwalbe tires. I wonder if the rear mech is original. It is a Shimano long cage for the 6-vit freewheel with a 32 cog. Where the rest...
