Wedge for 1 1/8" quill stem

I need to raise the bars on a kids' bike but the wedge is completely stuck. I've tried to shift it but no luck. Fortunately the stem is currently right down as low as it can go, and it needs to be raised quite a bit. The stem itself moves freely so I can get away with leaving the original...

Re-centering a Mavic Ksyrium Elite rear wheel

Hi folks, I have a pair of older Mavic Ksyrium Elite wheels that have been lying around since I bought them with a frame over three years (they're a fair bit older than that though). I decided to use them to build my GF's bike, and noticed that the rear rim was noticeably off-centre towards...

    Campagnolo Compact Crankset - Silver

Well, if the OP passes then I'll definitely take then - but at that price I doubt that he will! Cheers, Gareth.

    Campagnolo Compact Crankset - Silver

Apologies for the thread hijack - if the OP isn't interested in the cranks because they're square taper, then I would be. Cheers, Gareth.

Collection of a frame from Sheffield

Re: Re: Hi Mark, Many thanks for your kind offer. I'm based in Brussels but my family is all in Wales (Cardiff and Aberystwyth) so posting to either of those would be fine. Alternatively I work in the UK (Oxford area) pretty regularly so might even be able to collect it from you fairly...

Collection of a frame from Sheffield

Hi folks, I'm interested in a collection-only frame from Sheffield but have no chance of getting up there myself anytime soon. Would anyone be able to help with collection, and then either posting it on to me or storage? Cheers, Gareth.

Cassette options for Dura Ace 7700 SS rear mech with compact

Hi folks, I'm building a bike for my gf using a Dura Ace 7700 groupset that's been gathering dust for a while. The frame is a Cannondale SuperSix with many Cannondale SI parts including the carbon compact crankset. So it's going to be a pretty sweet bike finally. My question is, what's the...

10 speed Shimano Shaddow Plus rear mech and shifter

Hi folks, I need a 10-speed rear Shimano transmission setup with a Shadow Plus clutch-style rear meach and matching shifter. I don't really mind what range they're from, and am not fussy about cosmetic condition as long as it works! Is anyone in the process of upgrading to 11-speed...

    Hope Pro 2 (non-EVO) 135x10mm conversion kit(s)

Re: That won't work with the 12mm axle that's already installed! I probably didn't make that clear though. The wheel I have has a 142mm X12 setup on it already and I want to swap it out for a 135x10mm version - either bolt-on or thru axle. In addition, I also happen to have a 142x12mm...

    Hope Pro 2 (non-EVO) 135x10mm conversion kit(s)

Hi, I'm looking for 135x10mm conversion kits for a Hope Pro 2 rear hub, the older non-EVO style. I'd take either a 10mm bolt-on or thru-axle kit, or even one of either! I have a 142x12 thru-axle kit in exchange if anyone is looking to swap? Cheers, Gareth.

    Identify this crank please!

Thanks Matt! So my Bontrager hunch was right after all, just couldn't find a match. I think you're right about the Truvativ connection also. Now the next issue is to find a match left crank ...

Non-drive side (left) crank, ISIS, 175mm, pref silver

Hi folks, I'm looking for an ISIS left crank to use in conjunction with the one in this thread: viewtopic.php?f=12&t=363483 I'd prefer it to be a cosmetic match, but anything will do to get it rolling! Should be 175mm though. Does anyone one have a spare, unloved, mis-matched crank that...

    Identify this crank please!

It's definitely ISIS not Octalink - 8 splines not 8. So that counts Shimano out. I think it's ISIS as opposed to Power Drive or Power Spline, since the spindle diameter is about 18mm (spline inner) 22mm (spline outer) but that doesn't get me any closer to identifying it! I had originally...

    Identify this head badge please!

Hi folks, I spotted a klunker/cruiser style bike in a local Cash Converters the other day - it's been given a pretty rough rattle-can respray including the headbadge. It's a pretty distinctive shape, though, so I wonder if anyone will recognise it. Cheers, Gareth.

    Identify this crank please!

Hi folks, Can anyone identify the crank in the photos below? I can't find any tell-take markings, and scanning through google image searches hasn't resolved it yet. For reference it's an ISIS crank - at least I think it is, I don't know how to distinguish between ISIS and Powerspline, for...
