My road bikes, a collection of Italian steel

More pictures I found a nice Colnago Super, currently bit of a project. I'll glue new Vittoria Rally tires on rims early next week and install a new chain. I haven't decided yet which pedals to install, but I'll probably end up installing grey Shimano PD-R540's.

My road bikes, a collection of Italian steel

Some better pictures this time. Should have taken the bike outside for them, but weather was snowy, cold and miserable. Part series is 9-speed Shimano 105 except for the cranks, which are Ultegra. The bike came with mismatching wheelset, so I assembled new ones with Alesa X-Plorer -rims...

My road bikes, a collection of Italian steel

Latest addition. Afwul picture, I know. No markings on the top lug, internal rear brake cable. Vertical Columbus -dropouts and this cutout under the BB, has anyone got a clue about what brand the frame might be? Other clue is a "stud" to hold a pump behind the headtube.

    Rossin Low-pro TT-bike SOLD

There's a few more pictures in my flickr account *click*. I'm selling my Rossin TT-bike due to lack of storage space and use. The effective top tube length is about 54 cm (center to center), seat tube is 59 cm (center to top). Bike is not new, it has been ridden and raced. Overall condition is...

My road bikes, a collection of Italian steel

Nope, no idea. I'd say the TT-bike is from the early '80's. My educated guess is that your bike is quite a bit newer, from the early '90's. The decals are way newer etc. All the Prestiges I've come across have been made in the '90's.

My road bikes, a collection of Italian steel

Thanks. Sorry but I don't have any more pictures of the road bikes. TUL was just a local sports team. I bet their bikes were just off the peg -frames, no special paint. A colour scheme like mine seems to be quite ordinary in Rossin's TT and pursuit "aero" frames.

My road bikes, a collection of Italian steel

Wow, thanks for the movie recommendation. So much awesomeness, moustaches and US flags in one movie, I'm speechless. Waiting for a new bike by the way, Columbus steel with 9-speed Shimano 105. And a treat for sunday: A picture of TUL cycling team from the '80's, the bike on the right...

My road bikes, a collection of Italian steel

At some point of the bike's life, someone has made new threads for the bottom bracket with metal inserts. I don't think the bike was used since, the inserts are the wrong way around. The threads are not Swiss or French or any other obsolete system, it seems to be just a mistake. The frame was...

My road bikes, a collection of Italian steel

Greetings from Finland. As a new member, I thought I'd post some of the nicer bikes I've had pleasure to own. Along these, I've had some steel & aluminum track bikes, touring bikes, single speed conversions, mountain bikes & so on. My first real road bike. Columbus SL Rossin frame with...
