Sweet - How much dollar will it take for me to convince you that selling the hub would be better than a sequence of unfortunate events as you described. Another suggestion that may help- Find a suitable replacement hub and Ill build it up around your old rim with some new spokes.

I'm trying to get this wheel back on the road and wondered if anyone knows where I can get a replacement axle (Q/R 135mm). I did some basic research about a year ago phoning up Hope and they told me the name but I've forgotten it (XC something?). They also told me that they don't stock them...
