Dyna-Tech build - advice and opinins needed.

Raleigh USA used UK-made lugged/bonded steel frame (a model named 'Devil' I think). But a quick rummage around on the web and I'm not able to find a Dyna-Tech like lugged aluminium model. There is a model called 'Chilli', which is similar...

Dyna-Tech build - advice and opinins needed.

There are a few things on the frame which don't look like Raleigh Dyna-Techs. The rear triangle near the seat tube is very different, as is the top-tube cable routing. Different to the bonded steel (1990/91) and bonded steel/ti (1992/1993) Dyna-Tech's, and also bonded M-Trax (1994). The lugs...

    Which Dynatech???

There was a 2055 - but that was twin-stay (Sentinel model). At least that's what's in my 1991 catalogue. I think 1990 models were similar as my 1990 Encounter is almost identical to a 1991 version, just different decals and groupset bits. Pre 1990, I've no idea - when did bonded Dyna-Tech's...

    Which Dynatech???

My 1991 Odyssey (steel) and 1992 DiabloDX (ti) have stamped numbers beginning 'B' and 'C' respectively. My 1990 Encounter (steel) isn't accessible unfortunately. My 1994 MTrax Ti4000 is 'E' suffix. So year code is as a previous poster suggests, it seems. The Odyssey (steel) and DiabloDX...

    Dynatech racer

2060 = 531 tubes 2070 = 653 tubes, rear triangle 531 2080 = 753 tubes 2080 frames must be rare as the 1991 UK catalogue doesn't list any models, ti frames came along in 1992. I think there was a 2090 frameset too, using composite main tubes. There were also 2055 framesets (Sentinel MTB...

    Dynatech/Trimnell/X-lite fork bar clamp re-manufacture

Might be easier to contact someone at X-Lite and see if they can find any info or drawings for the fork. I'd guess the metal gauge and dimensions rely on a particular grade of aluminium being used - so you'll need to find that out too.

    Dyna Tech Ogre XT

Very nice! Needs UGLI forks though

    Raleigh Dynatech?

Looks more like a Raleigh M-Trax frame - with titanium top and bottom tube only, the bonded Dyna-Techs had titanium seat tube too. Wish I could find my 1994 M-Trax brochure :( this would show the bike in original form...

    Raleigh Dynatech Mission

This is scanned from the 1991 Raleigh Dyna-Tech brochure. Nice 8)

    My Raleigh Dynatech

Re: Frame XT100 is the Metal Matrix frame, as used on the MT5 and Dyna-Tech Decade. YUM! Sure you don't want to sell it

    My Dynatech MT5 retro build

Ohhhh!!!! Trimnel forks.... Remember lusting (well, sort of!) after a Dyna-Tech Decade (MT5 frame) with Trimnel forks. Still got the mag with the review in somewhere!

    My Raleigh Dynatech

Dunno.... The steel Dyna-Techs with the larger lugs had monostays. There was a Team version, there was also a replica. Not sure what frameset these used. I remember seeing some lovely stuff in the Dyna-Tech dealer in Chester (Claude Crimes) in about 1992. The later Dyna-Tech frames (with...

    My Dynatech MT5 retro build

Looking good! I did see this on eBay, but it's way to small a frame for me - so would end up framed in the living room! Not what should happen to such a great frame.

    My Raleigh Dynatech

Nice! This looks like a later bonded frame Dyna-Tech, with the smaller lugs and twin-stay rear. Does it have a frameset label at the base of the seat tube?

several bits including dynatech ti frame

That's my understanding too. :P I don't understand eBay sellers describing frames being made from exotic materials - without checking using a magnet first! Nothing wrong with a steel frame, of course 8)

several bits including dynatech ti frame

That's probably a UK frame - if it were US it'd be 'RALEIGH USA'. The other decals look identical to my 1990 Encounter - the pink/yellow on the seat tube. It's certainly what appears to be a UK 1990 Dynatech Mission. I think we are of the same opinion! Not ti, not metal matrix. A nice...

several bits including dynatech ti frame

Is that the same frame with stickers intact? Looks like a 1990 model Dynatech with 'RALEIGH' on the down tube - 1991 models had 'DYNA-TECH' stickers there. My 'Encounter' has similar stickering. 2070 is steel tubing, essentially Reynolds 653. My 'Encounter' is lowly 2060 tubing (Reynolds...

several bits including dynatech ti frame

Looks optimisticly described as titanium and metal matrix. But the frame as shown has the larger lugs of earlier Dynatech bonded frames, and looks more like a Mission frame to me (black tubes, silver lugs) and made of steel. Hope whoever is bidding at nearly a hundred quid has confirmed...

    NEW PROJECT - RALEIGH - DYNA-TECH - VOYAGER

Yup, will do.... I've also got a 1992 catalogue with the titanium frame models - Solaris, Quantum, Diablo, DiabloDX, Ogre, OgreXT, MT3 frame, MT4 frame. Anyone got a 1990 catalogue? My Dyna-Tech Encounter is a 1990 model with different decals to the 1991 model and a few component differences.
