    22" 531 Dawes ranger

I have one, old post I know but I don't agree with the comments at all (all due respect) they're absolutely beautiful to ride. LWB irons out the bumps, slanted head tube and seat tube angles make it smooth, no judder, you don't even realise you don't have suspension forks. People who buy these...

OK this was 2015, anyone know who owns it now? (and if it's potentially for sale)

    Dawes Ranger

Yeah it looks nice old school. It's difficult to find new skinwall 26ers and the Schwalbe ones annoy me as the text on the side walls is always massive to point of distraction.

    Dawes Ranger

Beautiful, just bought one of these, same size, same colour. resurrecting this very old post. Chance to avoid age related memory loss here with a question. To the O.P What is that front tyre? I can see it's 26 x 2.125. Or Fingers on buzzers..to anyone else who might know.

    Dawes Ranger, Cougar, Countryman, nomad

Dear all I am after a Dawes ATB 22" with Reynolds 531, I think the Dawes range of Ranger, Cougar, Countryman, Nomad were all the same geometry and all 531? so essentially the same F&F. I like the long wheelbase. Does anyone know of which of the models they came in green and blue? According...

    Girvin Vector expert advice needed

I have found lots of rear shocks that are 38mm in diameter, but they're all only 165mm in length :? I need something 135 to 138mm diameter but 185/200 in length.

    Girvin Vector expert advice needed

Re: Resurrecting this old post. Did you manage to sort this out? I am trying to do the same thing. eyelet to eyelet is 185mm It's the clearance to the headtube that's the problem, I think the width of the shock can;t be nmore than 40mm otherwise it would hit, but I cant be sure.

BTW everyone, my Grey 22" I named 'London' as it reminded me of the Littlest Hobo, so if you see it call out and see if it turns towards you, if it still remembers? .......what?...I didn't realise how attached I was to it until I sold it. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JFGtRKx4ypY

Re: Dear all So about 3 months ago I'm having a beer at the Cavendish pub outside, on New cavendish street, London. Then my old 22" grey sm600 whizzes past, too fast for me to react. I have been looking for it since a year after I sold it. It's the only one I wish I never sold. If anyone know...
