    Am I missing something ?

I can see what you mean, now I'm using my PC and can see all the photos. There's a bracket (& rose joint) connected to the top of the front fork - surely, it would have been safer to connect to the frame ?

    Am I missing something ?

    Yes, I'd noted that . . . but I can't work out what they drive ?

    Am I missing something ?

Yes, entirely inadequate; " the folk who built it say they clocked 42mph" . . . perhaps they couldn't stop. :) As you've mentioned, must be very hard work going up hills - however slight.

    Am I missing something ?

Hi All, Take a look at this; a couple of points : Are the wheels on this parallel ? The handlebars/stem aren't in the usual configuration :D - take a look at the direction in which the front fork is facing. However, it has bids on it . . . http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Bicycle-sidec ...

    Interesting (and rare) tandem

I've only ever seen one bike from this frame builder; a tandem must be extremely rare : https://www.gumtree.com/p/bicycles/temd ... 1152189148

    A Christmas Laugh !

Take a look at the link and make sure you read the full description, which includes such gems as : "As you can see it has been over painted with more enthusiasm than skill in hammerite!" "Could be built up and ridden using the components in the photos or restored if preferred"...

Mystery Ebay Purchase Help Wanted With Serial Number V8813

I don't know who built it, but it looks a very classy frame; it shares certain features (stays) with my Raleigh SBDU frame, which you can see on his page : viewtopic.php?f=12&t=138231&start=10 Your serial number is not one that I can ascribe to a particular frame builder, but hopefully someone...

    Paris 'Gallibier'

Take a look at this bike - advertised as a 'Condor / Paris Galibier racing bike'. The transfer on the bike says 'Gallibier'. In the description . . . 'Not sure if this is a Condor or earlier Paris Galibier'. What do you think ? Take a look at the pics and look at the headtube...

    R.O.Harrison 1950's Frame

Re: Re: It's a lovely frame - I hope the original finish is retained. (One of the rear drop-outs needs looking at - the bike shop should have noted that - imo.)

Sun Manx TT - Be Very Quick !

It certainly did go quickly. I wonder if we'll see the build on this forum . . . . . . . or might the new (& more informed) owner, put it up for sale again ?

    That's inflation for you

I love the way the later Ebay advert begins with . . . "It is with unfortunate regret that i have decided to sell my very early ( 1975) Team Raleigh Team Professional... " Unfortunate regret ? Yeah, right ! It was quite obviously bought in order to sell on - with a very generous profit margin !

    How much ? !!!

The Paris Galibier with the great lug lining is back ! http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Paris-galibie ... 1c4f836be0 He's looking for £2.750 BIN and he has the audacity to charge the very specific amount of £41.71 for 'Economy Delivery' !

    1960s Rory O'Brien tourer

That's a very good question, IMO. Frankly, I've not seen them before. Would the frame have come from the builder (in the first instance) with the rear rack built on ? Or is it likely to have been a (slightly) later addition ? I wonder who built this frame, it looks to be well thought out and...

    'Colnago'

It's very shabby indeed; be interesting to know, what the frame was originally. Even if the new owner knows it as a fake, what about subsequent owners ? With the best will in the world, it is quite likely, that in the not too distant future, someone will buy it, believing it is a 'real' Colnago.
