Tim Gould Chas Roberts built Peugeot race MTB bike

I'm amazed that these frames have lasted this long. I remember being interested in buying one as I knew someone involved back with the team BITD, and they were selling off frames at the end of the season. I think they wanted around 200 quid, which for a Roberts was a bargain. I was told that...

    What's your dream bike/frame ?

I could say something exotic or super rare, but it would just end up hanging from the ceiling as the trails that I like to ride are a bit on the gnarly side (and I've just designed, and had built a fillet brazed 650B hardtail which is my dream bike, but post 97  ). Sooo it's with...

Removing rockshox reverb stealth dropper ?

Wind the lever adjuster to the slowest position to minimize the chances of fluid escaping. Unbolt lever from handlebar. Hold hose firmly and unwind lever from hose (there is a long threaded barb sticking out from the lever which the hose screws on to). Pull post out of frame and pull the hose...

    rare ;) elevated Nishiki Kodiak 1990 UPDATED 22/5/14 pg4

I think it is a Nishiki Kodiak ;-) I am going to take a guess that it's the Canadian version of Nishiki. We have loads here, but they are a different family of Nishiki to the Alien and similar. Pretty sure they were designed and imported by Norco.

    Guess The Signatures?!

I have this (given by an old employer ages ago): I can figure out Greg Herbold and Missy Giove's signatures. I don't suppose any happens to know any of the others, or can figure them out? One of the more bizarre questions I know...

Post your long travel hard hitting hardtail PICTURES

Thanks. I've always wanted a fillet brazed frame since seeing an Overburys advert in MBUK circa 1988! It's taken a while for it to happen though  A buddy took a frame building course a few years ago and has been building frames as a semi-hobby since. Most have been road frames but he...

Dia Compe SS5 Brake Levers.... ??

I remember them being in the 'light but flexy' camp and the lever shape was a bit meh. I prefer Suntour XC Pro out of the 'normal' levers from BITD. Graftons and the like seemed a bit of a joke.

    Plymouth Grundig WC race 1993

The chainstays are trademark Schwinn / Paramount. No idea who actually made them though.

    Bontrager Switchblade Fork Question?

I guess we are both correct. By the time I bought my Comp(etition) fork, Composite was the general name for Bontrager's forks, with the Competition being the specific name for the higher end Composite fork: http://mombat.org/93bonty5.JPG

    Bontrager Switchblade Fork Question?

Bontrager Competition - or at least that's what mine was called (also with chrome legs) when I bought it circa 1990.
