    Accutrax steering damper

I can remember oddessey making one in the early 90's for MTBs but I don't know anyone who used them, don't know of any racing motorbikes that don't have em but I think they're a bit more of a handfull to ride!!!

    Coyote Cracked

Drill the end of the crack to stop it spreading any further then make a collar and shrink fit it round the bottom of the headtube.

Single speed question: chain ring sizes

I run 32x16/17 off road and find that fine for round here, where it's pretty flat and perfect for Dalby forest, Cannock chase and pretty much anywhere! I do find you need to be able to spin the pedals pretty fast on the flat though so if your a bit of a gear mashed maybe something slightly bigger?

    Head Tube Crack Advice

Except that aluminium usually cracks then fails catastrofically, drill a hole to stop the crack spreading then make a collar to shrink fit round the head tube.

    Winter boots

I've got some northwave celcius boots that I've used for the past 2 winter and combined with a pair of DeFeet wooly bully socks have been toasty warm, they are heavy but that just makes your summer shoes seem really light come the good weather!

Dalby ride - Sunday 23rd May

I'm not that good, average at best! But as has been said it doesn't matter what your ability is on these rides there's always someone to ride with and regular regrouping, no one gets left and from my experiance everyone gets made welcome :D

Single speed, I just don't get it?

:D They are nice rolling hills perfect for ss, make it ave it on the climbs and then enjoy the descents with no chain rattle! just watch out for geared bikes getting in the way, especially on the uphill hairpins! :D

    Which bike rides the best?

Hate to say it but I don't think the actual bike matters much, it's more about how you're feeling and where you are etc than what bike it is.

Single speed, I just don't get it?

Next time you go to dalby take your ss, the place is perfect for it! Hopefully I'll be there on the 23rd for the retroride on mine(it's the only mtb I've got that currently works!) :D

Single speed, I just don't get it?

I found that singlespeeds got me back into mountain bikes again after a few years of road racing, not worrying about what gear your in and just making it have it, having to carry speed through corners and trying not to brake anywhere so as not to loose precious momentum, it's ace and round...

    Pace...where's it all going?

I just thought everyone was having a good discussion tbh, things go off topic a bit but it's all good, I don't think the amount of posts or how long someones been on the site has ever come into it, at the end of the day it's just bikes!
