Guys, I recently bought a Parkpre Comp Limited steel frame, without a bottom bracket. My question is can anyone tell me what size bracket I need to buy? Or if not, how do I calculate what size bracket I will need to buy? I am pretty sure its a 68mm, but its the length I am not so sure about......

If my bike takes a 26.6mm seatpost will I need a 28.6mm clamp? I ask this question as clamps only seem to come in 3 regular sizes of which 28.6mm is the smallest. The bike btw is a Parkpre Comp Limited........

    Manitou, Rock Shox or RST?

I am looking at building up a retro hard tail circa 1995. The shocks I am considering are the following: Manitou SX, Pro XC, Comp XC; Rock Shox Judy SL, Judy XC, Mag 21, Quadra 21R or RST 381L or 171's. When the bike was new the fork was an option that you spec'ed when bought new & the above...

    Parkpre Comp Limited

Thinking of a Parkpre as my next build, the main reason is because it appears from what I can find is that there is no specific parts that have to go on the bike to make it a Parkpre. In other words I can build more or less what I like. Can someone tell me if this is the case? What is the...

    Deore thumbies........

Took my Marin Bear Valley for ride this afternoon, my first bike with 'thumbies'. Mine are set to friction but I notice I can switch them to 'trigger' style shifting ie 1 click & into the next gear. I enjoyed the friction shift as you can fine tune the gear selection. This got me...

    Marin Bear Valley

Have not ridden her in anger for any distance, just around the garden & up & down the road making sure the gears wirk fine. The handle bars give an upright riding position, but that is what I was after as I am intending to use her as my summer comuter. The whole geomatory set up frame/bars makes...
