Hey all, Remember the Scott suspension forks of 1992/1993 or so? The old day-glo paint and the really old-school spring and friction-damping? Anyone have some nice pics of these in action? :)

Team colours in 93 were green and "maroon" red. I can give you an idea as to the decals when things settle down for me here, with work on the website and all..

A lot of Marzocchi forks turned up on Barracudas, but in 95, they gave options to shoppers. If you wanted a Manitou, that's what you got. You had to wait a bit longer, like ordering a car from the factory, rather than just purchasing off the lot.

Re: Barracuda a2? Yep, I'm sure it's a Herting frame, and is either a 93 A2X or a Team-Only frame, made for the racing team. Either way, it's a beauty. I've got an identical one in my basement. Register on my forum and post the serial number, alright? :)

I'm on the fence. I was a Rock Shox hound, loved the look of the Mag21 SL Ti, but I also liked the nice hard lines of the Manitou's, and the EFC had the colour scheme that made me drool..

Soda blasting is ideal for aluminum, it's basically baking soda. It's so fine, it won't harm the frame.

Great find for $20! This bike looked so good back in 93 that they chose the paint scheme on the 95 team bikes. Love the condition it's in.. :) Mark

This frame was likely crafted by Chris Herting. It's either an early 94 A2X or an actual "Team" frame built for the race team in that year. The only detracting factor is the size, but this is the meaning of "vintage" to a Barracuda fan..

The frame is still available, yes. I haven't got decals ready for it, and don't have the time right now to create a set, but perhaps ol' Gil is still doing this? Best, Mark
