I am sure there were some strange hybrid rims that could be used for either clinchers or tubs in the early 80s. I only saw them advertised, not in the flesh, but I do remember being curious... Can anyone confirm, or is my brain making it all up?

I've got one, 36 spokes (stainless) on a small flange Shimano hub. Used but good condition, with loads of life left on the braking surface. I've had it from new (about 1993), and it's been hanging up for the last 25 years. Not sure I've still got the Shimano QR skewer.

Hi Ducky, I have a 1055 band on in very good mechanical condition. A bit of cosmetic worming/bubbling on the band and chrome peeling on the binder bolt (but other chrome bolts/pins are fine). I believe I have another one in better condition, too, but I've yet to locate it... Nick
