PRICE DROP. £25 for the Sylvan pedals posted, inc Binda straps. thats a fair deal. These pedals have only done 100 genuine miles.

They are 3 3/2" or 95 mm wide over the cage and just like the old style Campag pedals. These are a Japanese make . Its a standard width that suits most people. I am a size 10 or 46 shoe , and they were suitable for me.

Just pedals with Binda straps, the toe clips presently on them are just cheap plastic ones that I havent counted, they are best going in the bin and get some Christophe ones for them, if you can get them. SKS SYLVAN pedals are just old style pedals there is no size.

I actually stumbled on the thread trick when I was ony about 13 years old. I used to mess around with my bikes pulling the freewheels to bits to re-grease etc. I am not sure what these Shamal hubs entail though as I have never dealt with them.

Sounds like you have taken the freewheel body apart ,am I right ? The spring things will be the pawls. Use a thread of cotton looped over them and pull them in against the spring, while then placing the outer body back in place. The thread can then be pulled out as you lower the outer body...
