Yeah parts are mixed bag as otherwise would have gone over the £500 budget set - there's a combination of original and original upgrades in combination with new replacement parts. Wasn't really going for a retro-build as such - in an ideal world i would have upgraded the groupset to high end...
Hi - not sure on the size of the hope seat clamp - although i think 92 and 97 will be different seatpost sizes - 92 by all accounts is a 26.4mm seatpost although i replaced with thomson 26.6mm with no issue
The paint job is from Argos in Bristol - best place for a proper paint job imo. for...
i have a '92 cinder cone with an original seat post - heard they were 26.4, but i bought a thomson elite 26.6 and that seems to fit no prob, although, not been on a ride with it yet so don't know if it will slip
thanks for the info - these forks were a replacement when I smashed the original p2's up. Never really noticed any steering issues, but I guess its what you get used to...and by luck i do use a short-ish 10cm stem
Yeah pics were taken in the summer when i had it done - bike is built up and has been for a while - just need to get the pics up :wink:
oh yeah and it is bianchi celeste on the frame and a graphite fleck on the fork
yeah i guess for the purist 92 decals should be on there, but they look like they've been made on MS paint or worse imo! so made the choice to get a later decal set...will hopefully upload finished photos this weekend if i take some photos
