    Decoding Marin frame numbers.

Got it.I think you've explained it pretty well, but as you say,it's a complicated one to put down in writing. It looks like you're right about the frame size ID being introduced for the '95 range, didn't learn that from the previous thread so some new info now, thanks for that! Some flippin 'jigsaw...

    Decoding Marin frame numbers.

If yours is a 19" then that would match mine, with the 'A'.Don't get excited over small numbers,it's thought they are numbers in each run, could be weekly, monthly etc.Bugger!

    Decoding Marin frame numbers.

I also found that original thread some time back and re-visited a few weeks back.Kudos for adding to it👍.I'm sure it can be a bit mind boggling.I've a feeling that there are going to be some patterns, but a lot of exceptions.A complete, definitive guide may be a mythical beast.Just checked the...

    Rockshox Judy XL

Interesting.I did wonder if anything else would fit. It's actually my mate's bike, would like to find a longer-term solution. A couple of years ago I found a guy in the States with a complete NOS long travel kit, including damper, springs etc.Was over the moon, exactly what I needed, never seen one...

    Servicing Manitou Mars CL forks?

I don't have one to recommend unfortunately, there probably are members on here that will offer that service though. There are definitely a couple of guys servicing rear shocks.May be worth asking in the -->97 section too,a bit more traffic through there.

    Servicing Manitou Mars CL forks?

Was looking at these some time ago. From memory, there was one model that was very difficult/impossible to find seals for.Seals were available for one model, not the other.(Mars C/CL).Sorry I can't remember which one,so not a lot of help.Company may have been enduroforkseals.

    Rockshox Judy XL

Will be interested to see how you get on,particularly regarding the damper. I've had 3 pairs of Long travel, triple clamp (XL/XLC) Judy's ,all with leaking dampers. All the non-serviceable type.I believe some are serviceable with new seal kits available. Have managed a fix, drilled a 2mm hole in...

"creaking spokes" is it a thing?

A good way to diagnose, thought i do try to avoid getting anything oil-like near my inner tubes.Oil isn't always friendly to rubber. Some degreasers too.Have seen rubber inner tubes perish from that, where it had seeped through past the nipples.Left 32 little round swollen patches in the inside of...

Captain Cowell's '94 Marin Indian Fire Trail

This one should be with the new owner any day now,for the record it went for £470 on eBay.Will be living the high life on the tropical isle of Guernsey🍍🌴✨🚴‍♂️✨🌴🦒🌞. The buyer had seen one in the LBS window, but at 13 and on paper-round income, could never afford it.27 years later,dream...

    For Sale Captain Cowell's Karma-larder Free-nominal Love-spreading Ding-Dong!.....

Goes along with everything I've heard.Whole new ball game.Had a go on a couple,on the road, and was impressed. Was expecting to 'feel' the assistance but it feels like you're riding a normal bike until you realise the speed you're doing. And as you mention, that gentle push when the cadence drops...

Well thanks for joining in Dyna-Ti! 😁 🤝🧨👔 I've also adopted 'catch and release' regarding the parts collection. Not always easy to let go but I'm sure you've created a great buzz along the way, maybe even completed a few builds/collections for others. Sounds like the e-bike is going well too.I'm...
